Spaceships with otters and cute shiny noses
Giant blue whales in the waters that sing
These are a few of my favorite things
Sunshine reflections and bright coral branches
Small golden bubbles and Starfishy dances
Merpiggies frolicking under the sea
These are the things that are favorite to me
When the waves crash
When the sun burns
When I'm feeling bad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so sad

As I found myself unexpectedly swept down the beautiful California coastline, smelling the ocean breeze, taking in the sights and sounds of Pismo, Morro and Monterey Bay, I couldn't help but be inspired! Majestic whales under sunny skies, beautiful colored starfish adorning wooden docks, breathtaking sunsets, and of course adorable otters!
The Seaside Collection is not only inspired by my coastal adventure, but also the silly and magical imagination of children. Lately I have been teaching fine art classes to children and their unrestrained sense of adventure and boundless vision has been invigorating! These past few months I've been working hard to combine my experience in silk painting, fine art and breaking down my own restrictions of "what is supposed to be" and pouring it all into these fantastical wearable art scarves. I hope you will enjoy this collection as much as I loved painting it.
