Delicious Collection

There have been so many changes in my life in the past few years.  For one, I lost 60 pounds naturally in one year.  No, you are not reading a weight loss blog!  I am only sharing this because during this process of extreme attention to diet, my relationship with food really changed.

In the beginning, during the strict removal of all foods I loved; pizza, ice cream, pasta and so much more,  it was a miserable time for me.  I avoided social events (with tempting treats), didn't look forward to meals, and grew so bored of water.  Over time, as I got healthier I finally found a balance between sprinkling in delicious foods I love and finding healthy foods I could still enjoy my own way.
Something a lot of fitness gurus say is "food is fuel".  And it's true.  But that's not all it is!  It's a warm cup of hot chocolate with your best friend.  It's slurping spaghetti with family laughing and sharing stories.  It's celebrating a victory and sharing an ice cream sundae or a champagne toast to the woman (or man) of the hour.  Food brings joy, smiles, and warmth.

I created the Delicious Collection from this inspiration.  Happiness, dancing carrots, tacos, fun messages and joy all stemming from sweets, treats, and indulgent savory morsels.  Each scarf represents a favorite food of mine.  I hope you will enjoy this scarf collection in celebration of all things tasty!  They make great conversation pieces and are sure to make you smile and elevate your style all at once.  Oh and by the way, they are gluten free and zero calories.  ;)

A Fresh Start

Hi Friends,

I wouldn't blame you if you don't remember me after dropping off the face of the earth for like... oh.. I don't know... five years now?  I can't even begin to tell you what has been happening in my life that has taken me away from silk painting.  My heart has been broken, my body completely changed, studio fallen apart, my work... in my other life... my professional corporate life is over.

To be clear, this is not a plea for sympathy.  In fact, I couldn't be more excited or happier about the new adventures to come.  It's finally time to follow my dream and create a new life.  With silk painting, a healthy lifestyle, and hopefully piglets.

If you're reading this, thank you for being here.  I hope you will stick around because I'm finally starting to feel the sprinklings of inspiration again.  I'm rebuilding my studio and life at the same time and so full of hope!

Cheers to old friends and a fresh start!
